The Fair Work Commission – Workplace Advice Service provides free legal help to employers and employees that qualify.

You may be able to speak with a lawyer if an appointment is available.

This service is only for issues that involve:

  • dismissal
  • general protections
  • bullying at work
  • sexual harassment at work.

To be eligible for this service, you must be a small business employer, that:

  • has less than 15 employees
  • does not have in-house legal, workplace or human resources staff
  • does not have a lawyer or paid agent
  • is not a member of an employer association
  • has an enquiry or issue about dismissal, general protections, bullying or sexual harassment at work.

There are offices in the capital city of each state and territory, plus a regional office in New South Wales.
