Overview
Under the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Flexible Initiatives Trial program, 3 streams of funding are available for early childhood education and care providers:
- stream 1A – smaller-scale operational changes within a single provider and service type
- stream 1B – establishment of new family day care services in outer regional, remote or very remote areas
- stream 2 – partnership between 2 established approved services of differing service types to implement or extend flexible practices or models.
Check if you can apply
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be an approved early childhood education and care service provider, excluding public preschools operating in NSW
- undertake a proposed initiative that provides education and care to children within the 0-6 age group
- be registered or willing to register with the NSW Department of Education's Early Childhood Contract Management System
- agree to comply with funding agreement terms and conditions
- hold a quality rating and compliance of at least meeting the National Standard for the relevant service.
